AVP-R has earned mostly negative reviews from critics with 16% on Rotten Tomatoes, 5 positive to 26 negative with an average of 3.1 out of 10 and a user rating of 5.6 out of 10. The film has grossed $20 million domestically since its Christmas day release.

Alvin And The Chipmunks, jadi inget temen sekantor. * beda ya pak * Film jaman orok ini ternyata sudah lama di launch untuk film layar lebar * bukan layar tancap *, ya tepatnya tanggal 14 Desember kemarin.

Alvin and The Chipmunks, a global phenomenon to generation of fans, becomes a live action/CGI motion picture event with contempory comic sensibility. Song writer Dave Seville transform singing chipmunk Alvin, Simon and Theodore into pop sensation. Menurut saya film ini alurnya mudah ditebak, mulai dari terbawa ke kota, ‘nyasar’ ke rumah Dad Dave, rekaman, dimanfaatkan Uncle Ethan sampai berhasil kembali ke Dad Dave. Sempet bikin males nonton juga *ga tau emang lagi males* sampai nontonnya di pause. Tapi tingkah Alvin, Simon dan Theodore lumayan bikin ketawa. Apa lg waktu liat Theodore naik mobil remote control. Lumayan lah buat hiburan
